THIS WEEKEND AT IBW LODGE #1!!!

It's been mighty cold out here in Chicago! So cold you can set your heart attack to it. Or so I hear.  Who knows what these crazy kids will come up with next on TikTok, you know?

There's two grand events this weekend at the lodge:

If you're asking yourself what the heck a Super Secret Movie Club-13 is then I guess that means it's doing its job.

There will be a screening! It will be hosted by @Superfist! He'll be wearing a jacket! There will be a presentation before the pick but we can't tell you what the pick is until that moment or else it wouldn't be much of a Super Secret, would it?! No cover and no membership dues but tipping the host is encouraged and appreciated!

"Will you at least give us hints?" (I imagine someone's befuddled but wanting to have a great time brain asking). Heck yeah, we will!

Chris does an incredible job with these SSMC13's. If you're a movie hog at all this is a great way to spend your Friday. What's better than getting swervy watching a great movie with other movie nerds? Well, right, but other than screwing, this is pretty, pretty good.

And then, on Saturday, we've got another FREE! LIVE! SHOW!

And, REMEMBER PLEASE, we've always got hot & fresh PIZZA:

And every weekday from 4pm-7pm you can get a 12" pizza + 32oz pitcher of Trust for $15 measly dollars. You can't even get a Happy Meal for that any more and Happy Meals rarely give you a buzz.

BEASTIE BOYS & DEAD MILKMEN COVER BAND, SUPER SECRE MOVIE CLUB

It's the Holiday onslaught once again!!

You've got parties at your Office.

You've got parties with your friends.

You've got obligations with family.

You've got obligations to your self.

It's a LOT, let's be fair. And we're almost mostly half-way through all of this at this point.

To help you celebrate your fine achievements of self, we've got a couple great events planned to help you further spread yourself thin AND have an amazing memorable time.

That's right, this Friday we've got POW and Crystal Shit playing sets for our Holiday Party.

POW plays all the best funk instrumental Beastie Boys songs and Crystal Shit plays, you guessed it, your favorite Dead Milkmen songs!

As with all of our events and shows at IBW Lodge #1, this Holiday Madness is 100% free of cover charge!

And then SATURDAY DECEMBER 20TH at 8pm we're hosting the first SUPER SECRET HORROR MOVIE CLUB at our place. Here's more information on that should you need it. The evening begins at 8pm. DON'T MISS IT.

We've got other great events coming up later in the month, like a CLOWN COSTUME PARTY FOR NYE!! We're bringing the TWISTED BALLOON from the greatest Alcoholic Clown Movie Of All Time "SHAKES THE CLOWN!" to strange-smelling and vibrant life! And NOVEMBER is doing a GENRE FLUID DJ SET to get all you clowns out of your seats and dancing.

We've got another Whistlemania tonight at 6pm, Food Truck and all. This one is also a Toy Drive for kids whose homes have been busted up by the Feds.

And then the rest of this week we've got FREE live music each night.

THURSDAY we've got live Jazz from some beatnik jazz-bo's. I wish I knew their name, but I sure don't. But I do know that, if you dig that jazz kind of thing, you're gonna be real happy. And it's free, so, I mean, what do you have to lose?

FRIDAY, we've got Tim Midyet's (Silkworm, Bottomless Pit) new outfit, MINT MILE along with some real sketchy dudes from Ohio. This is gonna be a killer show. If you know, you know. If you don't, then just take my unminced word for it.

SATURDAY we've got a real sick-o playing here. Juan, an OG Illuminated creep from the way-back, is playing and he has asked that I demand everyone's attendance. His band is the DGNR8RS and they be reaallll nice. Natalie Lynch is playing too. And, come one, she's great! There's another band, too. And the whole damn thing is FREE. Freer than you and freer than me.

THE BLACKEST OF WEDNESDAYS at IBW LODGE #1

Hey! Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi!

But let's not get ahead of ourselves now, ya hear? First things first, we've got some goings-ons here TONIGHT:

Richard Metzger's newest episode of MAGICK SHOW has been released and we're doing an encore FREE SCREENING of it at 6pm on Tonight to help Kim Vavrick celebrate her 63rd birthday. Come check out the second episode of this wonderful series and wish Kim luck as she journeys into the land of AARP.

The episode we're showing tonight is all on WITCHCRAFT. Pulling from over 50 interviews with many of today's most public practitioners, MAGICK SHOW takes you through the history, the present and the future of the arcane arts. Come by, enjoy the show on us and meet some other practitioners and curious folk alike.

Wednesday is a few people's favorite annual tradition here at IBW LODGE #1: THE BLACKEST OF WEDNESDAYS. 

Designed to offer you refuge from your family on the Night Before Thanksgiving, this raucous little event has grown a life of its own over the years much in the way our army of Gingerbread Men have become autonomous beings activating their golem-like programming in surprising and effective ways!

This year, as always, we're releasing WAR ON XMAS. This year's flavor is GINGERBREAD MAN. You get that familiar 11% white lactose stout base you know and love, but this year it's going to taste like you have lovely little gingerbread men dancing across your wagging tongue. Hot.

We'll have live Tarot Readings from The Emerald Acorn and fresh and hot pizza from THE PIZZA DOM. 

At 9pm we'll be showing Gary Busey's magnum opus, "GINGERDEAD MAN". Don't miss any of it!

We're closed on Thursday. Duh.

And then Friday we open at noon and we're pouring a stout aged in Maplewood wheated bourbon barrels. And then at 9pm we've got a free live show from the Leo Milano Group as they slather on some jazz for you to help you get through the rest of your weekend.

And, of course, every Tuesday is TUESDAY TRIVIA NIGHT w/ MR. KING. The deadliest game of trivia in Chicago starts at 7:30pm every Tuesday!
